The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult

Yesterday was my last day to attend the book club this year. *tear* As most of you know, I’m signed up for a fall photography class that just so happens to interfere with book club. While I’m so excited about my class, I’m really going to miss this amazing group of gals. But January will be here and in no-time and I’ll be back to join the group.

The Storyteller, it’s the book that brought us together for discussion yesterday. Note: I did not have time to read the book this month but it didn’t stop me from seeing my friends.

I can’t begin to tell you what a cool group we have (there were 14 of us yesterday). We take turns sharing our homes and have a different moderator each month.

The moderator shares a bit of history about the author and book and passes the questions out to the group. Then we go around the room reading our question and sharing our thoughts. It adds great dimension to the book.

But before we get started in on our book, we always have to start with a little something on our plates with a nice beverage of sorts. Are these not the prettiest and colorful summer plates ever?

And then we talk about any agenda that needs addressed. Like our end of the summer pot-luck. Yum!

Finally gathered…

and getting into the heart of the questions.

Man I’m going to miss you girls. But look forward to seeing all of you at the pot-luck next month!
