NOTE: The artist has ended the giveaway and has decided on the winning photo. Click The Winner to see the outcome.
Sometimes I run smack out of ides. So here’s the deal.
I’m an artist at your disposal with a catch –
- You, my friends, are going to determine what I draw
- The photo must be taken by you or someone you know allowing me the rights to draw if your photo is the one I select.
- Post all photo’s on your blog (so that everyone can have a tour of the art). You may post as many photo entries as you would like – no limit here
- Whoever’s photo I gravitate to the most – wins the drawing, that simple
- You have through Sunday, August 3rd to have your photos posted
- Or if you already have some you like, your homework’s done
- Post away and give me a heads up when you’re ready.
- I will announce the winner of the 9″ x 12″ colored drawing on Monday, August 4th
- And no later than August 27th the art will be in the mail
Clues that will potentially help boost your photo higher on my list
Grass, furry things and people make me nervous – Can’t wrap my brain around them – however, you have as many entries as you would like and I’m keeping an open mind.
The pears below are a series I did earlier this year and this is how I would like to have them framed. I also have a work in progress in the post below.
The Contestants
NancyPants – Life is Like A Lunchbox
Becca – Ramblings Of All Sorts
Allisone – Deserved Indulgence
Oh how exciting. I’ll have to gather up some pictures. So, are people totally off limits?
You’re a great artist! Thanks for sharing your talent. I’ll find some photos for you…
Happy Tuesday!
What a cool idea! I’ll link this on my blog today.
Anita – Thanks Anita. Regarding people – Not totally Anita but it is a very shaky subject for me. A subject I keep running from.
Thanks Connie and Liz – This is going to be FUN!
Fabulous idea! My camera is pitiful, but who knows maybe I can capture something.
I meandered over from Liz’s blog. I think I have the perfect photo! Although – it has a little bit of grass in it. But I took it on my trip to New England and I just love it. I actually think I have a few from that trip that could be winners!
I love to paint, too – I used to be decent in high school but have since lost my edge. I recently painted a scene on a cheap piece of canvas as “practice” (on my blog) but I’m not very inspired to finish. I always have trouble figuring out what to paint.
I’m a relatively new “Blogger” – how does posting pictures work? Just an HTML tag on here or should I email you?
What a NEAT idea!
Thanks Empty Nest
Hi Jamie – Sorry I didn’t make it clear. I made the changes on my post. Please post all photo’s on your blog and get back with me when you’re finished. I’m doing it this way so that everyone can tour all the beautiful photo’s too.
Whoops…posted this below by mistake!
here it is again…
Ok Ms. Debbie…Posted your giveaway on my blog and loaded a few pix for your perusal.
No grass, no peeps and only one scrawny malnourished dog.
I love this idea!!! Thanks for making me hunt through my photos!!
Hi Debbie!
I’m so glad you found me and my ‘lil ‘ol blog! I’ve been enjoying reading yours as well! Hopefully I’ve posted something fun you’d like to draw. (Check on the post about the Blenkos, perhaps… or the ones from my garden!)
Best, Ali
I’m in!

What a neat idea! I sometimes have a hard time deciding what to draw myself! I will check in later and see what you do!
Thanks for sharing your gift…This sounds like fun!
I will see what I can do…come see me later or tomorrow – I should have it on there by then!
Be Inspired,
Vern
Oh how fun! I can’t wait to tour peoples pictures! I’ve posted mine!
I guess I should say, mine is at my “Ramblings of all Sorts” blog {I have too many if you ask me} if you click through the link on my name.
The photos I love are of our vacation cottage in Maine and the pictures can be seen here;

This is a fun contest. I have a pic on my blog! Last year’s vacation.
Blessing, Brooke
I’m overjoyed with all of the possibilities! You guys are the best!
I need HELP! S.O.S Brooke! Unfortunately I can’t get to your site. When I click on your name it takes me to your stats page. But when I scroll down to “Brooks Blog” The blog name is empty and I can’t get in. I hope you come back and help me out or perhaps you could provide the link to that post.
I’ll give you permission to do a painting from any of the photos in the photography section of my blog. I am particularly fond of the Buddhas from Woodstock in the closer to home album and the Black Dog Floats in the travel album.
