{"id":2173,"date":"2011-11-30T08:32:27","date_gmt":"2011-11-30T16:32:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/icalltheshot.wordpress.com\/?p=2173"},"modified":"2012-06-24T21:40:07","modified_gmt":"2012-06-24T21:40:07","slug":"better-days-i-can-not-remember","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icalltheshot.com\/?p=2173","title":{"rendered":"Better Days I Can Not Remember"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Finding the love of my life\u00a0brought new meaning to love.\u00a0\u00a0Marrying the love of my life\u00a0has given new meaning to\u00a0happily ever after.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">This is the ornament that\u00a0held my engagement ring all those years ago.\u00a0 It has such special meaning and will always be treasured.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/30\/better-days-i-can-not-remember\/2011-11-151\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2179\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2179\" title=\"2011-11-151\" src=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/2011-11-151.jpg?w=500\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"357\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">It was a wonderful surprise on Christmas morning when my boyfriend asked &#8220;will you be my wife&#8221;.\u00a0 Words can&#8217;t begin to express the joy we&#8217;ve shared as a couple thru the years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">I was quite surprised this year as hubby wanted to upgrade my rings.\u00a0 He forced me to LA (the diamond district)\u00a0a few weeks ago.\u00a0 And I kinda liked it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">We became so familiar with the area and spent a total of 3 weekends there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">This is the set\u00a0we had made and picked up Saturday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/30\/better-days-i-can-not-remember\/sony-dsc-606\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2174\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2174\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/03211.jpg?w=500\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">We shopped the top rated places we found on Yelp and did lots of research in between.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/30\/better-days-i-can-not-remember\/sony-dsc-607\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2175\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2175\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/03216.jpg?w=500\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Lots of thought went into these.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/30\/better-days-i-can-not-remember\/sony-dsc-608\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2176\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2176\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/03220.jpg?w=500\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">When we finally found just the right jeweler, he made all of our dreams come true.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/30\/better-days-i-can-not-remember\/sony-dsc-610\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2178\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2178\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/03259.jpg?w=500\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"369\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">He made drawings of the rings in 3D\u00a0&#8211; then stereolithography\u00a0molds were made.\u00a0I was impressed with the technology to get all the right measurements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/30\/better-days-i-can-not-remember\/sony-dsc-609\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2177\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2177\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/03224.jpg?w=500\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">I&#8217;m beyond thrilled with its beauty.\u00a0 But beyond that, grateful for the love we share.\u00a0 Love truly is the Greatest Gift.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">Saturday, the 26th, was the exact day we picked up the set.\u00a0 As we were on our way home that evening, we stopped for this amazing sunset.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/30\/better-days-i-can-not-remember\/imag1066\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2191\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2191\" title=\"IMAG1066\" src=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/imag1066.jpg?w=500\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"299\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/30\/better-days-i-can-not-remember\/imag1069\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2192\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2192\" title=\"IMAG1069\" src=\"http:\/\/icalltheshot.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/11\/imag1069.jpg?w=299\" alt=\"\" width=\"299\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">This was hubby&#8217;s post on FB that evening.\u00a0 It&#8217;s worth repeating on the blog.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">&#8220;What a great way to end a great day with Debbie. On our way home down I-5, just as the sun was setting, a sign appeared up ahead. Vista Point, next exit. It was a beautiful sunset on the Pacific.
