Breakfast is one of those meals where I\u00a0start with first things first.\u00a0\u00a0That = Coffee.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I generally don’t mix coffee with the food part unless we’re out-of-town or eating out.\u00a0 Not that I don’t like the two together, I do, in fact I\u00a0prefer it that way.\u00a0 It’s just, well you know, when I get up, I want my cup of coffee first thing.<\/p>\n

Now when it comes to the\u00a0food part,\u00a0I’m not\u00a0so antsy.\u00a0 For whatever reason, I don’t wake up starving and some mornings I don’t actually start\u00a0the food portion until\u00a010\u00a0AM or so.\u00a0 \u00a0And I tend to\u00a0get into the rhythm of eating the same thing over and over.<\/p>\n

For months, I was hooked on yogurt with piece of fruit or yogurt and cottage cheese mixed together.\u00a0 I’m still hooked on yogurt and have one every day, just not for breakfast nowadays.<\/p>\n

It\u00a0was traded in for a brief visit with the green monster, not long ago.\u00a0 But the monster didn’t last long.\u00a0 It appears some rye bread made an appearance in the house.\u00a0 It totally\u00a0has\u00a0my undivided\u00a0attention.<\/p>\n

My new favorite breakfast revolves around, lightly toasted\u00a0rye and a boiled egg.<\/p>\n

This 6 burner gas stove is my new favorite appliance in the kitchen. Not that I’ll ever use all of those burners at the same time, but I do love cooking with gas and\u00a0the\u00a0additional room the stove offers.<\/p>\n

A rolling boil, that’s what happens fast with a gas burner.\u00a0 Love\u00a0me some\u00a0instant heat!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A boiled egg mashed over lightly toasted rye, sprinkled with a generous portion of ground black pepper\u00a0and a\u00a0light dash\u00a0of sea salt.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Awaiting the baby spinach to make it whole.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And this my friends was Breakfast.\u00a0 A very yummy satisfying\u00a0breakfast.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A breakfast worthy of taking pictures, it\u00a0is that good!<\/p>\n

Another thing worthy of pictures\u00a0are these magnificent blossoms from our plum-tree.\u00a0 I’m\u00a0completely smitten each time I see a new blossom.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And our figs are growing by the day it seems.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

But the question at the end of all of this is, “do you know what I’m thinking?”\u00a0 Did you guess breakfast?\u00a0 Good guess. I’m thinking about breakfast and how I’m going to have my rye and egg in the morning, that is, after my cup of coffee.<\/p>\n
