<\/a><\/p>\nThe\u00a0car was washed and the tires are all nice\u00a0and shiny.\u00a0 The oil was changed.\u00a0 Actually, the change was a little overdue and I figured today was as good a day as any to go ahead and\u00a0get that done.<\/p>\n
But you know\u00a0what always gets me?\u00a0 It always gets me that the guys changing the oil\u00a0always try\u00a0to rake me over the coals.\u00a0 ALWAYS!\u00a0 Never fails.\u00a0 They always find some sort of filter that\u00a0is dirty and needs changing.\u00a0 It’s always something.\u00a0 And I hate the word always but in this case, it never fails.<\/p>\n
So today, before they even opened the hood, I mean right off the bat when the guy wrote down the mileage, he\u00a0told me something or other that I needed to have done.\u00a0 My response “My husband only wants the $24.00 oil change this time.”\u00a0\u00a0So\u00a0away he went to get down to business.<\/p>\n
As if I didn’t already make myself clear, in he came with two more things that needed to be done.\u00a0 He said “miss, I know your husband is trying to save on the cost of the oil change, but you really need ___________ and ___________ done.”\u00a0 I can’t even remember what he said, totally over my head.\u00a0 But I could have predicted that.\u00a0 My\u00a0kind reply\u00a0 “If you would sir, please make a note of everything on the bill so that I can have my husband\u00a0look into it.”\u00a0 Man I’m getting good.\u00a0 That was easy and I\u00a0don’t have to sit there making one excuse after another.\u00a0 And now I have his remarks on the bill so hubby can really check into it.\u00a0\u00a0There is no way on earth I would remember everything they try to shove down my throat.\u00a0 Not a chance.<\/p>\n
The best part of the whole thing is this.\u00a0 I got to\u00a0share on the blog the thing that gets me every time at the oil place.\u00a0\u00a0Now I feel I’ve been to group therapy and didn’t have to pay a dime.\u00a0 I feel better already.<\/p>\n
And now my friends, the car is all nice and pretty with a fresh oil change and a full tank of gas.\u00a0 This means we’re ready to go on a fun date tonight!\u00a0 Now it’s time for me to think about getting myself ready for a fun night on the town.<\/p>\n
