Who doesn’t like a road trip?\u00a0 I do believe I’ve enjoyed road trips ever since I was a little girl.\u00a0 There’s always a certain element of excitement when the scenery is ever-changing.<\/p>\n

In this case, we were just driving up the coast of CA.\u00a0 Just driving up the coast?!\u00a0 Well\u00a0I had no idea\u00a0all the excitement\u00a0 and sites that were\u00a0to come.\u00a0 Although I did have a little idea of the beauty, I just wasn’t prepared to be blown away\u00a0like I was,\u00a0Every. Single.\u00a0Day. \u00a0I had a pillow and blanket\u00a0packed for passenger comfort but didn’t so much as think about using them.<\/p>\n

And hubby, the best driver ever.\u00a0 He never once let me in the driver seat.\u00a0 And I must admit, there were times I felt guilty as he deserved to sit in the passenger seat to enjoy the beauty as much as me.<\/p>\n

I was happy as a clam, bouncing off the walls<\/del> taking way more pictures than a girl should be allowed.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Snapping away.<\/p>\n

First stop = LA for lunch.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After lunch, we were right back on the road again.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We pulled over at the look out place to see what we could see.\u00a0 There\u00a0wasn’t much to\u00a0see, until we climbed a little higher.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We took in this view and snapped a few pix.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Then we were right back on the road.<\/p>\n

Although this shot is taken from the passenger seat, I like the feel of the\u00a0motion and\u00a0country side.\u00a0 And\u00a0I love that we could see the ocean on the other side of the road.<\/p>\n

There was another look out place on up the road.\u00a0 So\u00a0we stopped in the Santa Barbara County Parks for this shot.\u00a0 Have I mentioned what an amazing driver my hubby is?\u00a0 Well he is, as he takes the time to stop along the way to smell the roses.\u00a0 I love that!<\/p>\n

Next stop –\u00a0the place to pillow our heads for the night.\u00a0 This is the view taken from just outside our room,\u00a0on the coast of\u00a0San Simeon, CA.<\/p>\n

We made dinner reservations early such that we could get back to our room\u00a0to watch this.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This is the spot where we sat on a bench, enjoying\u00a0the view that evening.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

What a treat!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A beautiful day and\u00a0night we will never forget.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And right on cue, we were right back out to find the Super Moon.\u00a0 I searched all around to find a place where I could frame it.\u00a0 I like this spot, it was magical.<\/p>\n

And this my friends, is a wrap of\u00a0the first day of vacation.\u00a0 I’ll be back with more vacation pix,\u00a0as there are 6 more days of vacation to come.<\/p>\n
