<\/a><\/div>\nHubby secured Gold Star tickets – Basically the tickets allowed us to ride on the second floor, dine downstairs, have unlimited drinks and enjoy the great outdoors out on the railed deck in the rear of the upper level.<\/p>\n
The photo below (left side) is hubby standing on the deck and on the right he’s sitting across from me checking out the menu in the restaurant down below\/the ground floor.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nWe sailed over the river and through the woods…<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nMy favorite spot on the train was the upper (open) deck.\u00a0 Picture of the top of the cars and bridge we just crossed.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nThere was always scenery to enjoy<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nWhat a powerful sleek engine!<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nAnd what a fantastic route<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nThis little old church along the tracks caught our attention.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nWe quickly noticed crossings getting fewer and fewer and the roads appeared to be little lanes.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nThese cars were just chillin’ as we passed by. <\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nA look back at that bridge that we just went under.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nThe ever changing scenery…<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nAnd well on our way to Denali<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nThe engine that could…<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nAnother beautiful view<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nNext stop Denali!<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\nUnfortunately we didn’t have clear skies to see “The Big One” aka Mount McKinley but we certainly made the most of it.<\/p>\n
