each day when these hummingbirds appear for a dip in the fountain.  I always run for the camera whenever I/we spy them.

Today was extra special as this hummingbird was visiting under much better lighting conditions.

What is it about me that doesn’t want to miss a beat.  Even as a child I didn’t want to miss out on the action.

If you’re not on your toes, you’re surely going to miss something.  I’m so happy I didn’t miss this display.

And just when I thought he was going to continue his visit, he was gone in a flash.  And all I caught was the trail of evidence.

Yes, words fail me no matter how many times a day we see these creatures.  And they keep me on my toes as I enjoy capturing a very small percent of their daily routine.

And as long as they are in our lives, I hope to be a part of the action.
