Let Us See For The First Time

I had an art teacher who once said “Look at it Debbie, don’t just see it but really SEE it”. I learned so much from her and I still remember seeing an object for the first time, really seeing the subject matter and drawing it from the shapes I saw.

Today on this beautiful heart day, I set forth to not just look at this pretty day but to really see it. I took all necessary precautions and drove like I was broken down, hobbled along with my 4 way flashers blinking non stop and graciously pulling over and stopping for all the cars that came up from behind to allow them to pass. I had many kind waves and even had a gentleman stop to see if I was alright. I had my window down already and I quickly showed him my camera saying “I’m a southern gal taking in the beauty”. He nodded saying, my daughter-in-law is a southern gal, I understand. And away he drove down the beautiful country road.

So allow me to share pictures of what I saw for the very first time.

  1. Way to go! Beautiful pictures! We may get a big storm early next week, want to go for a drive? “Put your boots on” I could be right over. I also love th beautiful weather! And your digital scrap booking is just elegant! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Oh, Debbie! The photos are simply beautiful! How I long to once again go sledding down a hill on a blue plastic sled. To lace up the strings on a pair of ice skates. To roll out a 6 foot tall snowman complete with a carrot nose. To pull a 10 inch long icicle off the roof and lick it like a popsicle. Ok, so maybe I wouldn’t lick icicles anymore, but your photos sure sent me down memory lane! Thanks! You are talented with a camera~
