Picture Fun With Hubby

I got this idea from my friend Liz. She did something similar to this with her wonderful dearest hubby sometime back while he was “trying” to watch tv (I think football if my memory serves me right) and it truly made me want to do the same with my darlin’. Thanks for the idea Liz!

The idea was to snap pictures of my hubby while he was busy doing something. Also, I tried to remain quiet as not to disturb him. He’s busy and the only thing to disturb him was to be the flash of the camera. Shhhhhh It’s quiet time from this point forward. So this afternoon was the perfect day to get his many expressions which I love so much.

The setting – He was in his favorite spot (football game in the background) working on our Christmas newsletter. So without further ado here’s my fun with him. Remember quiet Debbie! I want to get his accurate expressions without too much interruption.

Here he is in the ZONE – This is exactly how he looks when he gets down to business.

Then he pauses to think – I can just see his wheels turning.

SNAP SNAP SNAP… He begins to catch on that I’m continuing to take his picture – I love that break on his face with a smile as I begin to get his attention.

Keep on snapping to see what happens… It didn’t take long for him to do this – I finally got his full attention – SNAP! – He cracks me up! (oops, I laughed)

Snap – snap – snap – (I was the paparazzi and he’s my STAR) and then he lets out a big growl – I love his growl – it really is bigger than his bite and he couldn’t scare me if he tried! SNAP!

Don’t stop taking pictures though cause there’s more fun to be had! So Yes this has to be my absolute favorite one. I had the camera ready and when he looked over with a hint of a smile with those pleading eyes begging me to stop. BAM! I GOT IT! And I love him and this pic so much!

And that is where I stop and give him a little kiss and tell him that I can’t get enough of him! He’s the best!

What are you waiting for – try this on your man/woman – it is a TON OF FUN – I’m so glad I did!

Happy 46th Birthday To My Dearest Bobby

Today dawned and we started out Bobby’s birthday at Cracker Barrel. Then we had a few errands before we were off to the Dallas Fort Worth Airport for our trip back to NY.

We were going to go out to Japanese this evening upon our arrival but we were ready to get back to the apartment and call it a day. We’ve had a nice evening here getting settled back in and we will celebrate his birthday either tomorrow or next weekend.

I’m so thankful to have him in my life and feel blessed each day to have and to hold my Dearest Bobby who has completed me in every way.

Thank Goodness For AAA

It all started last evening when Bobby flew in from MD. When he got to his car it would not turn over. And the next thing he knew all the power in his car was completely gone. For that matter, he couldn’t even get his keys out of the ignition, strange. So I got a call saying honey can you come get me. Of course and I was there to get him in a flash.

So we called AAA this morning and we had his car towed to his mechanics which is about a 40 min drive from the airport. AAA finally arrived and they were able to get his car in neutral and loaded without much trouble and I had the honors of taking Bobby to work.

We decided to stop for a lunch date on the way and bumped into Quinton (the gentleman who is helping Bobby move the sofa). He’s still on for dinner and will be helping Bobby get our sofa tonight. Right after lunch I stopped by Wal-Mart to pick up a few things for dinner and got home in good time this afternoon.

Bobby just learned it was the battery and it was deader than a door nail. He tried jumping it last night for about 15 min and no luck. Bobby was not up to fooling around with it himself especially since he doesn’t have his own garage and he’s happy to let his mechanic get him back on the road with his wheels.

As for me, I’m so happy the house is clean and I’ll be ready for them when they walk through that door. But I had better keep movin’!

Happy Weekend!

Hump Day News

Hubby was hit with the ole sore throat and cold Monday and is feeling worse by the minute it seems. Last night he crashed around 7:30 in hopes to get some sort of relief. As he lay there next to me I noticed his face looked a bit flush and when I felt him, there was no doubt he was burning up with fever.

Back to work again like a trooper today, but I just got a call from him saying that he may be home this afternoon. I feel so bad when he’s this miserable and I hope he’s able to get some rest and knock this yucky stuff soon.

It’s been a morning of phone calls and getting more stuff taken care of. I actually spoke with another realtor today (realtor #10 to be exact) and she sounds like she’s a real go get ‘er. She’s checking on a 10 acre plot of land for us and she’s also offered to check out the entire MLS for listings other than the ones she has. Realtor #8 (the one I really liked and thought for sure she was the one) dropped off the face of the earth and I have not heard from her since October 4th. Realtor #9 was the one I called on the land we looked at this past weekend. The land was advertised with a picture of the lake but when I spoke with the realtor, we found out that the land was not on the lake but had the lake access, no deal for us. So when I tried to find out about more land in the area, the realtor asked me if there was anything else I wanted to see. She didn’t offer check out other MLS listings or anything. We have never had this problem but perhaps some of these realtors would rather sell only what they have listed so that they don’t have to share the profit of a sale or perhaps they would prefer to sell a home vs land as they don’t get as much profit from selling land. I don’t know, this is just a mystery but I’ll continue to call as many realtors as it takes to get the job done.

The Brink Of Another Weekend

This week has almost come to a close and I’ve been looking forward to the weekend ever since Monday! Well, it hasn’t been that bad as I’ve had several outings this week to keep me occupied. Sunday marks our 7th week here in the hotel and I think we’re doing peachy, all things considered. I just have to say how cute Hubby was the other night. He puckered up his face, his bottom lip drooped and in a sad tone he uttered “I wanna go home… I wanna go home… I wanna go home”. It was just too cute and we both started laughing. I know once we finally get all situated here that it will be home. We both like moving around and we are neither one homesick but I think the biggest problem is that we feel a bit homeless at this very moment. This too shall pass and one day we will be all back to normal with a place to call home sweet home.

I spent a couple hours with my friends Onna (sp? It’s not Anna and is pronounced like on na), Ava and Sophia at breakfast. Onna is such a pleasant lady that always has a smile and she is blessed with two of the cutest little girls, Ava (who is 3) and Sophia (who is 1). They both became my little buddies and Ava became my pal almost instantly. We played, and Ava pretty much was on my lap from the time I finished eating until we left. She got pretty occupied with my face and she just loved squishing my lips and cheeks together and then asking me to talk. I had Donald Duck lips, fish lips, clown lips and pretty much all sorts of lips and noises going on. Right at the end little Sophia warmed up to me and walked up to me holding out a little flower that she had picked for me to take. Onna, was so surprised that her girls were so taken with me saying they never go to strangers. Ava took my hand as we were walking out and said she wanted to come spend the day with me. I don’t know if I’ll ever see these ladies again as all of the girls are going back to their home for about 3 or so weeks and I think we might be gone by the time they return. Her husband is assigned here for 3 months and then they will go back home to Maryland when his assignment ends.

Hubby wanted another lunch date with me today and I’ll tell ya, that does a Debbie good. I may take a little nap this afternoon and before too long Hubby will be home for the weekend!

Happy Weekend Everyone!

More Info On The Weee

The Weee will be continued on June 19, 2006, same time same place, stay tuned. I’m with you Jennifer. I’ve already asked those kinds of questions. Below is a list of questions I’ve asked and a few other statements from him regarding the issue.

Is it an electronic?

Is something for the garage?

Is it something for inside the house?

Does it belong outside?

He did tell me that the Weee ‘might’ fit under the Christmas tree.

He said I would like it.

He has agreed to give me 1 hint a month but does not promise to answer my questions.

He says his answers are limited.

A side note from the Peanut Gallery. ‘We’ were engaged on Christmas morning, December 25, 1998. I don’t know if this Weee has anything to do with us, but he says it’s an item that must be purchased and if I don’t get it for him, he will get it for himself. I know it’s really an item that must be purchased because he never fibs.

To be continued…

Any Clues? Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Here’s Hubby sitting in front of his computer playing his game with his headset on but that still didn’t stop home from Weeeeeeeee. Alright, That’s It…I Give, my brain is at a total loss and I CAN’T TAKE IT ANY MORE!!! Calm down Deb, what’s this silliness all about?

Hubby and I were out on the town today enjoying our dinner and he insists on pulling my chain…He told me that he knew what he wanted for Christmas this year. OK, what’s the big deal here? Well he wants a Weeeeeee, does anyone here know what in the world he’s talking about? My hints were, I have 7 months to figure it out… It’s not on the market yet and he says he has no clue when it’s going to hit the market. Oh, and he also says it’s a treasure hunt. Grrrrr.

He’s having so much fun with me and loves to see me get excitable. I can’t drop it and I’ve even tried to look online but he won’t tell me how to spell it. He just keeps saying Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee over and over again. Have I completely lost it? I must say… He’s not the type to just make things up, so I know he’s serious. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, there he goes again. At least we are both laughing but he’s getting such a kick out of watching me squirm. I thought his expression saying Weeeeeeee would help so I threw it in for good measure.

Happy Birthday Hubby

I woke up this morning singing Happy Birthday to my beloved husband. He has brought so much joy and happiness into my life. He’s the brightest light in my day and has the warmest heart.

He What?

  • He tells me he loves me multiple times each day
  • He contends that he loves me more
  • He always knows how to make me smile
  • He calms me when I feel anxious
  • He sings special love songs to me
  • He blows kisses when he’s across the room from me
  • He thanks me for being his wife and for being here with him
  • He shows appreciation for the things I do for him
  • He makes me feel like a queen every day
  • He’s always happy to see me at the end of the day and welcomes me with open arms
  • He knows I need affection and provides hugs whether I need them or not
  • He works hard every day to provide for his family without a complaint
  • He calls his mother and always asks what she would like for him to send – whether it be a goodie box, stamps, thread for her needle work, address labels or whatever her heart desires, and she can consider it done.
  • He knows my deepest thoughts and wishes
  • He calls me sometimes from work and the conversation goes something like this

Hubby: Hi honey

Debbie: Hello My Love

Hubby: Are you busy tonight

Debbie: No, never too busy for you

Hubby: How would you like to join me for dinner…

  • He graduated at the top of his High School class and his sister never even knew ‘til she was here visiting and looking thru his HS yearbook a couple years ago. He’s brilliant and as a child gifted but he never flaunts it.
  • He completed his Masters while we were in Korea. I’ll never forget how gifted he is passing his classes with A’s.
  • He’s the only one in this world for me
  • He’s just what I needed in every way and I’m so thankful he picked me to be his wife

Wicked – Last Day In The City

Hubby and Sis are wrapping up their stay in the city. Today they checked out what all the fuss was about on Broadway. There was a War protest going on which consisted of approximately 300,000 people and the demonstrators stretched for about 10 city blocks. Look for them on the news tonight, you just might see them. Traffic came to a halt and many roads were closed. After their stop at the protest they went to visit Chinatown and dined at a placed called Wo Hop. Tonight they are off to see the Broadway show Wicked and then do some last min. shopping before they head back to the hotel. This is their last night in the city and I can’t wait to have Hubby back home.

I’ve missed him a great deal, especially in the evenings. I kept myself occupied with my pottery, working in my studio till around 9:30 each night. I took time off today to have a nice massage and then did some errands. I’m just about finished cleaning the house and have the vacuum to run and I will be all done for the day. I’m taking a break from the studio and will be watching some movies later on. I think I’ll have some popcorn with my movie too; they seem to go together nicely.

Hubby & Sis – In The City That Never Sleeps

After hearing from Hubby, I wonder if he is ever going to get a good nights sleep while staying in the city. He was up till 3:00 AM with the sounds of sirens, horns and much noise from the street below, guess they forgot to sound proof the Hilton. In Hubby’s words “They call this the city that doesn’t sleep. I call it the CITY THAT WON’T SHUT UP!!! This is definitely a jungle, but one of steel and machine.”

Last evening Hubby was able to catch up with an old friend (Brennan) they met in the 4th grade and went thru high school together. They were young buddies who loved getting together to play chess and do whatever else boys love doing. Hubby had not seen Brennan in over 25 years so this was a real treat for the both of them. They all enjoyed a nice dinner together then Brennan took them for a quick tour of the Theatre District which included Times Square.

Brennan plays the violin, might I add the “Stradivarius” for the Brooklyn Philharmonic & the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, he is the Concertmaster (or first violin chair) for Brooklyn Philharmonic and Associate Concertmaster for New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. One day I hope we can attend one of these majestic performances.
